TETRA Ladder Safety Section

SA001 Safety Overhead Section

  • SA001 Overhead Safety provides candidates with the knowledge to work safely on ladders and wooden poles. More importantly, this enables learners to identify the hazards and potential risks involved while working on ladders and poles. Firstly, it helps candidates be aware of the health and safety legislation within the telecoms industry. Secondly, this accreditation tests the candidate’s knowledge, skills and understanding of the dangers associated with these types of works, and the safety precautions required while working on the Openreach overhead network.

  • This course includes a practical and theory test. Therefore, learners must have the ability to be able to work at height with little or no fear, however, our knowledgeable, experienced and friendly assessors will walk the candidates through the course installing confidence at every stage.

  • The candidate will gain the SA001 OH Safety certification from the governing organisation. This will enable the learner to update their NOPS card, issued by Smart Awards. Application for a NOPS card, to allow you to work safely on the telecoms network, can be found on the Smart Awards website.
