Demonstration Training On IPAF Equipment

The IPAF Demonstrator Course provides a minimum of 7 hours of combined classroom-based and practical instruction, focusing on the key responsibilities of a MEWP Demonstrator. The course equips delegates with the knowledge and skills to familiarise operators with their duties, carry out pre-operational checks, explain safe operating procedures, and highlight the limitations of MEWPs.

To attend this course, delegates must first have successfully completed the IPAF Operator Course and hold a valid IPAF PAL Operator Card for the relevant machine category they wish to progress to demonstrator level. In addition, candidates should have a sound understanding of site safety, be confident in their abilities, and possess good communication skills.

Training is delivered through an instructor-led classroom presentation, supported by a written test, practical instruction, and a final practical assessment.

  • The correct emergency procedures, capacities and limitations to enable safe operation

  • Selection and use of fall protection equipment covering as a minimum anchorage point in platforms, harness standards, explanation of fall arrest, lanyard types, use and correct fitting, rescue procedures, current recommendations [HSE & IPAF H1/05/05]
